True... but if you word it right, it may be beneficial. Mentioning that my slow PC was hampering my performance last year got me moved from an old dell optiplex desktop with a wonky hard drive that required weekly full scandisks with a 300 mhz p2 processor to a precision workstation that was at time of purchase the fastest workstation in the entire corporation... it may still be, for that matter. Didn't get the dual 21 inch flat panels, though... but dual 17 inch flat screens aren't such a bad thing. :-)

But you're right, they do suck... can't be 100% honest unless you're absolutely delighted with your workplace... have to balance satisfaction and dissatisfaction enough to make them want to make you happy while not looking for a replacement because you look ready to quit... ah well. hehehehe, well, I've discovered that these evaluations are pretty important and have a lot to do with your salary and possibility from promotions.

It won't help me with getting better tech though, mostly because they are really good about giving you the tools you need (I have two 22 inch monitors on my desk). I need a new tiBook though, this 500 mhz pig is dragging me down.
