Based on your suggestions, I've taken another stab at the redesign for this site. Let me know what you think. Note: at the top of the page, aboce the title of the article, there is a next and previous article link. Those will only appear on individual archive pages.

This one looks good, but I liked the other one also...

Do we still get custom Icons?

Looks great. The postings from other websites idea is neat, but do you think it will be used?

Actually, Movable Type can be configured so that it pings certain sites whenever an entry is made in a specific category. So whenever I make an entry in say, my "experience design" category, I can ping IMX. So that postings from other websites might work afterall...

Yeah, I'm still doing the icon thing. We'll see how that goes.

The auto ping thing that Josh mentions has a threshold of getting people to put that url into their category config. I don't know if anyone will use it for that reason. We'll see how that goes.

You might want to add some sort of button to the search form. I don't know about your audience, but it seems that less-experienced computer users tend to look for a button to click.

Your groupings of categories and "elsewhere" are better on this design.

Some groups on the right nav are seperated with a line and others aren't. That's not very consistant.

I hope "RSS Syndication" leads to a page that describes your feeds rather than the RSS itself.

You have a list of comments, but no form on which to enter them.

That plugin I mentioned that lists trackbacks like comments has been released. See http://kalsey.com/2003/02/simplecomments/ for downloads, an example, and to see it in action.

I keep wanting to click on the "Home" that is in the upper-left corner.

Comment posting has been turned off because I don't have enough time and will to deal with the constant comment spamming. I'm very sorry and will fix this sometime soon (soon = before 2004 ends).
